 Accessibility Services

Accessibility Services

"In pursuit of its mission and in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is committed to providing all students with equal access to academic courses, programs, and school activities.

A student seeking accommodation for a disability should reach out to access@thechicagoschool.edu with all accommodations requests. The student must provide a completed ACCESS Request Form (below), plus materials from a healthcare provider who has the credentials to diagnose and treat the condition explaining and documenting the disability, the prognosis, the barriers the student faces given the disability, and suggestions for accommodations that are designed to overcome the barriers without imposing an undue burden on the school and/or fundamentally altering the nature of the service, program, or activity at issue.

Accommodations are not retroactive and do not begin until the student has gone through the interactive request process with the ACCESS team.

 Health & Wellness

Health and Wellnesshealth_wellness.jpg

The Chicago School promotes a learning environment supportive of the development and maintenance of a healthy mind, body, and spirit.  We want our students to choose and exhibit behaviors that promote health, reduce risk, and strengthen relationships.  We look for resources that will help students improve their health and increase their chances of success in school and beyond.

Health Insurance

Information on student health insurance for international students (on an F-1 or J-1 visa) is available under International Insurance.

Please note that The Chicago School does not currently offer a student health insurance policy for domestic students. Students are encouraged to carry an individual health insurance plan while enrolled at The Chicago School. Visit healthcare.gov to access individual plans through your state health insurance exchange. Resources like GoHealth can also help you review and select an individual health insurance plan.

 Multicultural Programs

Multicultural Programs

Multicultural programming plays a key role in supporting TCSPP's commitment to diversity

Join us by participating in Safe Zone trainings. These 3-hour trainings aim to provide a foundation of knowledge needed to be an effective ally to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI) community.

Individuals who complete this training and then choose to post a Safe Zone marker in their workspace should be comfortable with LGBTQI students approaching them to talk about LGBTQI related issues, or to help students find institutional and local resources.
